Wednesday Hodgepodge

1.  Did you make someone laugh yesterday? Was it intentional?

I did make someone laugh yesterday and even though I don't remember what I said ( Or did for that matter ) but I remember Diane and I laughing ourselves silly.

2. What's a simple question with a complicated answer?

Hmm, the one question I used to ask my parents often when I was about eight and never really got a proper answer.

How come God was just always there?

( Pardon my eight year old grammar )

3. Rhododendrons or azaleas...you have to choose. Are either currently blooming in your yard?

I definitely love Rhododendrons, and we have a lovely bush that is blooming beside the house.

4. May 21st is National Waitstaff Day. Have you ever worked as a waiter/waitress? How would you rate the experience? What was the best/worst part of the job?

No I haven't ever been a waitress but when I was younger I used to dream of being a waitress and being able to hold a tray that was filled with glasses of water without dropping it, and I used to practice with a tray and several plastic glasses. (I'm pretty sure I gave that tray a large crack by dropping it that day )

5. What fashion trend for women should be outlawed? How about one for men?

Even though I have a decided opinion on fashion, I don't think it is up to me to decide what other people should (or shouldn't) wear.

6. Name a writer who inspires you....now tell us why.

A writer who inspires me has to be my Mom, she has an incredible knack for writing and has inspired me many times before to pick up a pen, grab a notebook, and write up an amazing story just for fun.

7. What well known quote or saying sums up your plans for today or this week?

Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

" Kill da bugs, kill da bugs!" my little brother Sean squealed and ran to me as fast as his little legs could carry him, flinging himself into my arms, and clinging tight.

"Da" bugs just happened to be dandelion seeds floating through the air on a windy afternoon.

I tried to explain that they aren't bugs and showed him how to pick them and blow the seeds. He was a little hesitant about the whole idea to begin with, but after a few days he now no longer confuses dandelion seeds with bugs, and actually enjoys finding them, and blowing on the seeds, and watching them drift away.

  1. Okay, I'm stuck on the 'simple' question. We always said, 'How come...' when I was a kid. I wonder where that came from. Now I've got to go find out. LOL Hope you have a good Wednesday. Enjoyed your Hodgepodge.

  2. Your little brother sounds very cute! I've been trying to go to bed at a decent hour and get up early too. I like the quietness of the early morning even though I don't always like getting out of my comfy bed.

  3. My girls used to say 'How becomes...' instead of how come, which always made us laugh.

  4. I like the early to bed early to rise idea. I'm just useless at it. Nice post.

  5. I always thought it would be fun to be a waitress. :) I was never good at balancing things on trays, or not tripping while walking, so that helped rule that out of future jobs. Great question for number 2, I asked the same thing when I was little. :)

    My love,
    Kat

  6. Three year olds are so much fun! Good for you for teaching your little brother that dandelion seeds are nothing to be scared of.
